BCTN Equipment

BCTN is a student-led fully-equipped broadcasting facility which brings news, announcements and special features to students via an in-school streaming broadcast. 
Students learn about video planning and filming, as well as, broadcast production. Each student will experience what it is like to be an on-screen anchor and a behind-the-scenes producer. They also explore post-production editing with Final Cut Pro X and other top- of-the-line software and technology.


Bio Med
The world’s biggest health challenges are investigated in our rigorous four-course biomedical science sequence. Students explore the roles of biomedical professionals as they study the concepts of human medicine, physiology, microbiology, genetics and public health. They will examine the structures and interactions of human body systems; explore the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease; while working collaboratively to understand and design solutions to the most pressing health challenges of today and the future.

Career Explore provides all students with a postsecondary career and education plan. Students will complete high school graduation requirements, receive on the job work training in an industry, and gain the skills needed to be successful in an ever-changing global community. ESS
Bear Creek High School’s Exceptional Student Services Department provides a well-rounded educational program for student’s identified with learning difficulties. ESS staff guides students in developing a post-secondary plan for transition to adult living. They recognize each student’s ability to contribute to school and community and strive to emphasize personal strengths rather than limitations. Mental health support and resources can be provided for students and their families, including support groups for grief, better understanding of the learning struggle, and social skills training.

Project Lead the Way
These pre-engineering and pre-medical programs build successful futures for students by providing an innovative curriculum taught by instructors who hold specialized degrees. It creates partnerships between the nation’s leading schools, universities, and the private sector to address today’s need for professionals in the Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and Medical fields.

ProStart ProStart Hospitality Program
This two-year course provides students with hands-on training in the food service, restaurant and hospitality industry and prepares students for careers in these fields.



Senior Field StudiesSFS Video
Seniors Field Studies enhances classroom instruction with real-world field experiences. Learning experiences include a two-week backpacking and rock climbing trip to Arizona, a one-week farm or ranch live-in, over 30 urban field trips, and a one-week whitewater rafting expedition to Utah. Students receive 3.0 credits in English, social studies, and electives.

Warren Tech
Warren Tech is a career and technical high school for Jeffco Public Schools. Students who wish to pursue a career while obtaining their diploma can attend Warren Tech in the morning or afternoon while completing their graduation requirements at Bear Creek.
